【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversmetalceilingsuspensionsystemsusedprimarilytosupportacousticaltileoracousticallay-inpanels.1.2Somesuspensionsystemsincorporatelockingassemblydetailsthatenhanceperformancebyprovidingsomecontinuityorloadtransfercapabilitybetweenadjacentsectionsoftheceilinggrid.Thetestmethodsincludedinthisspecificationdonotprovidethemeansformakingacompleteevaluationofcontinuousbeamsystems,norforassessingthecontinuitycontributiontooverallsystemperformance.However,thetestmethodscanbeusedforevaluatingprimarystructuralmembersinconjunctionwithsecondarymembersthatinterlock,aswellaswiththoseofnoninterlockingtype.1.3Whilethisspecificationisapplicabletotheexteriorinstallationofmetalsuspensionsystems,theatmosphericconditionsandwindloadingrequireadditionaldesignattentiontoensuresafeimplementation.Forthatreason,aspecificreviewandapprovalshouldbesolicitedfromtheresponsiblearchitectandengineer,orboth,foranyexteriorapplicationofmetalsuspensionsystemsintheconstructionofanewbuildingorbuildingmodification.1.4ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.5Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsdescribedinthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
